And so... [Jun. 29th, 2004|08:44 am]
[mood | chipper]
[music |"I'm so pretty"]

More things you would never see in St. Louis or the surrounding areas.
...People stuck in the road waiting for a flock of ducks to get out of your way.
...Everyone going the speed limit or slower.

So after I wrote that last entry down below I went to the Feild of Beans(coffee shop) and started filling out applications. When I couldn't spell my name right I decided to stop and start turning some in.

I went to the Jazzy Fox Bistro and after explaining why I couldn't fit all my past music experience onto three lines she offered me a job. So now I work there every Thurs. Fri. and Sat. night. In a couple weeks I will sing. I am excited.

I also got the lead in a play called Anne Frank and me. It is not a very well written play and the woman who wrote it looks like the Hutch with a huge 80's style, platinum blonde, wig. But it is a play and whatever. It will be interesting.

Krista Rhoe rocks my face off. She sent me a CD of Julie Andrew's a Bit of Broadway and it has songs from all sorts of shows barring The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins thank God. It totally rocks. I love it.

I have an interview at Target today so I hope that goes well. I want a 10% discount. I love wandering Target I never buy anyhing, but I love it.

Mission Accomplished [Jun. 24th, 2004|07:17 pm]
[mood | listless]
[music |silence]

So all your prayers paid off. Ich habe gaben. I am pretty sure that means I have work. Yup I have a job. Not a very good job mind you, but a job none the less until I get hired by the millions of places that need help in the Fall. Oh they all want me in the Fall just not now because all the college kids are home. In any case I work at Pizza Heaven(close enough, eh, Ah-nuh[that's right I said, eh]) I will make subs and pizzas and ice cream for 5.50 an hour.

Short Story #5
Sharron has taken off for England.

I auditioned for a really poorly writen and widely published play called Anne Frank and Me. More than likely I will be cast for the part of a woman named Renee in the past and Zooms full name Bazooms in the future. Why do I think I may have gotten this part?
1. It was the only part I read for.
2. I look ten years older than anyone else auditioning.
3. We won't talk about that I am very, very bitter.
So yes I bet you are all laughing it up, well, SHUT UP I DON'T NEED THIS FROM YOU!!! In any case casting isn't until tomorrow so...yeah there is a chance I could just not be type-casted(Insert joke in bad taste here). I hate you all and not in the way where I mean I love you.

So, uh, I am bored out of my mind. I need something to do. It is like those days of summer you know the ones when you weren't in anything and you slept until noon, watched TV all day, ate, and the only reason you change is because your mom says so, then at a bright and early 10 o'clock you go to bed because there is nothing on and you start all over again. Well I know I am well rested last night was the first night since I don't remember when that I just didn't sleep because I wasn't tired. Not because of stress. Not because of insomnia. Just because I have slept OVER half the week I am just not tired.

Please people email me, call me, write me, and most importantly pray for me so that when I get up in the morning I have some excitement to look forward to. I have read all the books that I hadn't read yet. I even restarted on the Sword of Truth series and am all caught up right up through Naked Empire.

Speaking of naked I need jokes. Mom and I have resorted to making fun of, the word, eh, because I have no good jokes to tell her because all of my friends have told me no jokes. I need jokes and I am bad without the people that make the jokes that I know and now I am just rambling because I am alone. I am not depressed. It is too pretty here to be depressed and I have everything that I could ask for, but I need people. I have no people yet. Pray I find people. Quickly cause, uh, yeah its bad.

-Eva Marie-

P.S. Ah-nuh do you like my spelling now?

Loooooong Weekend [Jun. 22nd, 2004|02:14 pm]
[mood | sore]
[music |"Don't Worry Be Happy"]

Disclaimer: So it has been a few days and boy there is a lot to say so if you don't have time I'd just go do the more important stuff first cause it is gonna be a while folks.

Real Story:
Friday night I went out to Otter Tail Lake with Brian and Dawn, Sharron, Angela, and some-other-people. We went in two cars and sat in two different booths so it was like we were in two different worlds.

Short story #1
I also found something really, really creepy out. As my sister Faith said, "Your new friends look a lot like your old friends."
Sharron is Kristin and Angela is Angela. It's like I went from one church to another and my two church buddies are still there only different. Sharron is really really tall with dark brown hair. She is really smart and is going to NDSU and is a slight ditz, but with charm. Angela is a little shorter than Sharron with light brown hair to her shoulders and wavy. She is not a crier and loves to party but is the Principal's daughter so she has to be careful(but not with her parents)and also loves god so she doesn't cross any of those serious lines. It is creepy but nice.

Real Story(cont.)
We went out and hit four hot spots on the lake two with the other group(that had my sis Katherine in it) and two on our own. It was great! We went dancing at the last spot and at every stop we teased Brian cause he had to have a drink. Here comes another semi-short story.

Short Story #2
So I have lived in a lot of different places and this is what I have found about people and drinking and Pastors.
Ohio: They will drink, but only after knowing you really well and making sure you realize they aren't drunks, but they are people.
North Carolina: You just don't talk about that kind of stuff cause if you don't talk about it, it doesn't exist.
Illinois: You talk about it, you know it is there, but you never, ever are invited.
Minnesota: Oh drinking is everywhere and if you don't come, well...oh your coming.

Real Story(cont.)
Whenever we got back to the Meech's Sharron and Angela invited me to come to Fargo with them on Sat. to go shopping.
Saturday we then took off for Fargo we got to there mall and it is pretty cool. It is I'd say in league with the Galleria, but a little smaller. I got a dress for the Installation this next Sunday. I also got to hear a bit about their last couple years and stuff and Angela has a pretty good love life ridiculous kind of thing that was goin on.

Short Story #3
I was in this little novelty store looking at this really cool clock and the girls come up to me and were like we have to show you something(this whole day we have been checking out people's outfits and hair and stuff so I had thought they had found something really atrocious). So we get out into the mall and Angela's like we are going to walk up this way turn around and walk back on the other side just watch the woman in the orange dress. So I am already giggling cause her hair is obviously a wig and is on crooked. We come back the other way she is sitting there with a bag and her makeup is all over the place and her shoes are falling off and she looks soo unhappy. Well SHE is a HE. Oh I needed a camera.

Real Story(cont.)
Then after the mall we go and pick up some applications for Sharron and see her apartment where she is going to be living this school year and finally we head home.
That night I go to Andy Dawkin's drama clubs performance of The Lights of 42nd street. The woman who wrote it is the director and she pumps out 3 of them a year(ya hear that Tim lol just kidding).
It was a pretty good plot, these two country kids want to spread God's word by reopening this mission and this Banker wants it and is forcing everyone to sell it(though they never explain why)then the city kids are pissed cause they lived there and now they will have to move again so they beat up the two country kids and the one dies. So then the city kids are leaving and they find this journal and it has all this money in it so they don't have to sell the mission and the main city kid and the country kid run it.
But there was a lot that could have been cut out and a lot that needed to be added to make it better.
On Sunday I got to talk to Abby Jo a little while she was home for the weekend. She said she is coming back next weekend for the installation, but then she won't be back until July.
That afternoon I went out and filled out applications for what seemed like everyone and there mom, but surprisingly just for me.
Then I realized it was about 3:30 and so I decided that since I didn't get to talk to the director the night before that I would stop by now since it was their last performance and everything. She then told me to come to their cast party that night so we could have some ample time to talk. I went and got to meet everyone. Swapped phone numbers and stuff. I think I am going to be assistant directing this upcoming season. All I know is that I am going to be helping.

Short Story #4
I was going to be updating on Monday, but then I pulled my lower back out. I was on my back all day. I was supposed to do a lot of stuff, but then I got hurt. Now I am starting to hurt again, cause I have been sitting so long. So I am going to go.

Boring [Jun. 18th, 2004|02:01 pm]
[mood | bored]
[music |me yawning]

today is very boring. I woke up. I ironed. I watched Lilies of the Feild (MOM:[sobbing] Why didn't Homer stay with those nuns!?) I then went took a shower. Now I smell clean. Then I went upstairs had a tuna fish sandwich and coffee. Finally I took grandpa to the doctor's to sign a medical release form.

Oh I did write a song last night. I am still working on the tune, but as of this week(i hope) I will have completed my first song.

Today is a very boring day.

*yawn*

You would never see in St. Louis(and its surrounding areas)... [Jun. 17th, 2004|04:33 pm]
[mood |bouncy]
[music |"Tell me something good"]

[Bible: Lam 1]
...people leaving their cars ON when they go into the store and feeling safe about it.

...people treating bicyclists as if they were cars.

...a marching band in your way as you are going to the library.

Bizarre. I love this town.

I have basic cable!!!
I have a phone!!!
Ah-nuh called me today!!!
I unpacked the rest of my room(bar my books)!!!
I got an email from Phoenix today(bout time!)!!!
Tomorrow Brian(Chantel's dad) is taking me and Katherine out somewhere to go meet people. I am not sure if I want to do this. Not because I don't want to meet people, but because I don't want to be forced to meet people. Kind of like at that block party I was late for last night. I met the people that used to live in our house I still didn't catch their names and Ethel and Earl who live in the last brown house before the dirt road on the left...one story tall. Then there were the teenagers that had to be around the ages of 14 and 16. The three of them(two girls a guy and no pizza place) kept staring at me and my sister Katherine until she went inside and then just me. Nope they didn't come over and say hi they just stared and gossiped, disappeared, came back stared and gossiped. Then I went inside and watched Casablanca whereupon I realized that what Ah-nuh has been telling me for years is true...I like chick flicks, but not most recent ones they all suck. I did see 13 going on 30 which was an awesome flick and even guys would like it. Then this morning I watched Sabrina, but not the new one that sucks the old one with Audrey Hepburn cause I love Audrey Hepburn. But the library is closing so I have to go and I almost repeated myself by telling you all that I did get to unpack my room today so...um...yeah...DON"T RUSH ME!!!
lol

The Unpacking Commences (Ah-nuh spell check) [Jun. 16th, 2004|02:30 pm]
[mood | content]
[music |the gentle sighing of the computer]

So yesterday was uneventful. I now have a bed that I put together last night (LORI: I have this bed you can have Andy grew out of it. EVA: What does it look like? LORI: Well the footboard and the headboard are identical and...well...it's not too cowboyish[Lori is such a riot].) and the old matress that I can't sleep on because I can feel all the springs. Dad is making mom move that upstairs to Rebecca's room because Rebecca's mattress is the one that we bought for me so I wouldn't feel like I am lying on nails. And I watched for the second time(and I was more alert) CITIZEN KANE. WOW all I can say is wow Orson Welles was a genius. That movie was made in the fourties and people still haven't learned how to act, direct, or shoot like that. Sheer genius.

I also took Chantel to her softball game yesterday. And I actually watched, and cheered and things normal fans do. So her team won 16 to 11 and she got on base 3 times, though she never got to come in. I am soo proud of her. She is a cool kid.

Today I started to unpack. I now have a full-length mirror on my wall and pictures. Ah-nuh unless you want the picture of you on tour where you were giving me the look you always give me when I am being stupid on my wall you better give me a better one cause I am pretty sure I forgot the one of you and Spiderman which ticks me off. I want that picture of you and Spiderman. I want a picture with Spiderman.

I also think that I am finally done with this head cold. I popped my ears for the first time in weeks. You never know how good it feels to pop your ears until you can't do it.

Tonight we have a block party at 6:00. That should be interesting. I am going to be late. Riding my bike around the lake a couple of times. That is something I really have to say for this town. It is geogous. I have never seen a place so pretty. And I am lucky enough to live here.

Well I have to go be late and ride my bike.

-Eva Marie-

Oh wait!!! My new phone number though it might not be working is 218-998-3984. It should be up by Thurs, but if not it will be by Sun.

Also Zach's in a band and they are now the HOUSE BAND!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Funny Story [Jun. 15th, 2004|02:00 pm]
[mood | giggly]
[music |random kids laughing at Strong Bad]

[Bible: 1 John 3

So yesterday I went to go visit the Dawkin's and SO me and Lori(Abby Jo's mom) walked around the lake and stopped off at my house and took a tour and then my mom asked us to pick up a few things and so we go to to the servicemart to pick up 4 things.

1. KC Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce
2. Miricle Whip
3. Miricle Whip Light
4. Bubble Tape

So then she had the KC Masterpiece and I had the two miricle whips. I started walking to the checkout because that is where the bubble tape is. Lori stops me and says

Lori: We need four things.
Eva: Yeah I have two Miricle Whips and you have the barbecue
Sauce and then the bubble tape.
Lori: But that is only three things.
Eva: and then the bubble tape.
Lori: One, two, three...but there is only three things.
Eva: and then the bubble tape.
Lori: One, two, three...but there is only three things.
Eva: and then the bubble tape.
Lori: One, two, three...but there is only three things.
Eva: and then the bubble tape.
Lori: One, two, three...but there is only three things.
Eva: and then the bubble tape.

Eva: and then the bubble tape.
Lori: One, two, three...but there is only three things.
Eva: and then the bubble tape.
Lori: One, two, three...but there is only...OOOOOOHHHHHHH I
GET IT!!!!!!

Then we laughed for a really long time and all the cashiers looked at us funny. It was great. So everyone should go read the bible vs.s of the day.

So where was I... [Jun. 14th, 2004|05:16 pm]
[mood | cold]
[music |Library beeps]

BIBLE: Titus 1:10-chap.2

"something, something, day from hell, something, unpacking, something, something, summerfest or junefest or whatever...ok here we are.

So on Sunday my family and I went to church after our first night of decent sleep. I am still suffering heavily from a head cold and last all the way until offering where I spend that and prayers and benediction trying to stop my head from exploding. I make it out just in time for the closing hymn.

I do forget that some churches don't have bible school int the summertime this is one of those churches. So then we talked with some people before the next service started at 9:45 and went home. I then took my first bike ride around Fergus Falls.

I like that every sign has N, S, E, W, on them. I can tell where I am. But it does defeat the whole purpose of getting lost. I live on the Northeast side of town. I can ride within a half an hours time to anywhere in the town. That is pretty conveinent if you ask me (which I am sure you all did).

At 4:00 we all took off to the Lange's house (vacancy pastor and wife). I hung out upstairs watching TV and playing Age of Empires. Then we ate the best cooked meal I think I have ever have(that woman can cook like none other...wellI don't think she'd cook mexican as well as Ah-nuh's mom...but she is pretty good), and then my dad was really tired and so we went home.

I have just had the longest nights sleep in my life. From 9:00 until 3:00 this afternoon. It was sweet.

I got an email from my friend Owen and he had this great idea about a making a giant elephant that spits candy out its butt. It is awesome.

Um there are these cool people that I have met since I have been here. Angela, Shannon, and Chantel, See-ree(pronounced that way), and Matthew(Chantel, seer-ree, and Matthew are all brother and sisters) Chantel is probabaly the coolest 6th grader I have ever met bar none.

Our house is bluish-gray and has Purple trim. Have I mentioned that my room is worse off then the one I had before? I am now looking for a job Brian is on that(Brian is Chantel's dad. And I am off to look for Abby Jo. I haven't gotten to see her yet, or find out where she is as the case may be.

This place has sooo many trees it has been nominated to be a tree city. I have to register for classes for the fall soon too.

Ok what kind of policy is not giving you phone service when you ask for it for a week. NOt a very good policy I think. I can't believe it. I need a phone a connection to the outside world. Well I also need a non-freezing room so I cannot be sick but I dont think any of those things are going to happen anytime soon so...whatever.

I need to go get a tissue.

Day...I don't know...I think it's Sunday so...day 3...but I wasn't in Fergus Falls on the 11th so... [Jun. 13th, 2004|07:18 pm]
[mood | busy]
[music |Apartment 26: Give me More]

Wow. It was the drive from hell. 12 hours turned into 17 1/2. I had a vicious head cold. I went through one toilet paper roll and a half. I am still recovering.

What was supposed to be Day One:
I woke up in a strange house at 1:30 in the morning. We had stayed the night at some friends of ours but we were all anxious. I didn't fall back asleep due to nose cloggage. Then, at 4:30 I got up for breakfast one muffin and half an english muffin. Then we found out I would have to take the trailer on the back of the van, because the lights wouldn't work with mom's truck. So dad had all the boys (himself, caleb and grandpa) Mom had Rebecca and I had Katherine and Faith. 7:12 we left...

Three hours later...
Not feeling too bad. We stop for the rest room.

1:27...
need gas and Mc Donald's feel tired and annoyed that my nose won't stop running pick up nasal spray from the Wal-Mart behind the Mc D's and lie down. 15 mins later have to go.

3:06 later...
we stop because supposedly I am driving on the white line. I dont know what they are talking about I am just trying to stay inbetween the lines while I am tired. What do they think I am going to fall asleep?

4:02 later...
kids wake me and mom up. We take off. We are in Iowa City.

6:44 later...
We stop at Pizza Hut. I choose sleep over food. You know I am tired when I choose sleep over food. I love food. Almost as much as I love friends. I think it goes 1. God 2. Sweatshirts 3.Food 4.Friends/Family 5.Reading...

7:18 later...
We leave Mason City.

9:02 we are in Lakeville
I had to kick Katherine out of my van because I still had a head cold I had to get a new roll and she was annoying the crap out of me and I was about to have a nervous breakdown for no apparant reason. I get Caleb and Faith.

11:13...
we are at a rest area 82 miles away from Fergus Falls. Mom and I are a wreck. We are exsausted. We have to sleep or we will kill everyone. I, for the eleventh time, am shoveing nasal spray up my nose. Did you know that they say you shouldn't use it more than twice in a day?

2:17 Fergus Falls...
we meet our hosts at Perkins. we drive over to our house and drop off the trucks. Then it is off to Cal and Helens I crash.

The day from hell is over. God protected us through the trip your prayers are very welcome. Thank you.

Oh and Never EVER drive for that long without sleep. Driving and 24 hours lack of sleep...not good.

The next day we had so much help unpacking we started at 11 and ended at 5. Early enough for Junefest Parade. We saw some high school marching bands. Man, they were soooooooo much better than Metro when they are at there best...and Metro sits. They had flag girls and everything. It made me appreciate good music. Some kids were violently throwing candy out of cars. I am serious I saw some kids take aim and throw it as hard as they could and all the kids getting the candy are getting smacked and aren't even phased "ooo Candy I want the Candy!!!" It was sad and funny. I loved that there was a parade and an art show this weekend.

Um...This is long enough for today I should hopefully update tomorrow and give you more.

1 Day Left [Jun. 10th, 2004|12:29 am]
[mood | melancholy]
[music |guy flirting with his girlfriend over a printer]

Last Day here.

Probably last journal entry for a while. Sent off letter me an Ah-nuh wrote. WE have half the truck packed. We are leaving at 5 AM in the morning. WE might be staying the night some place else.

Zach migh tcome over this morning. Tim might too. Beck and Carrie said that they wanted to come over but they probably won't. Becky has work, but it truly is the thought that counts. It makes me happy.

So when I was taking my break today at my last day of work the girls all came up and gave me a present. A picture of all of them in a Country Tea Room frame. And they also chipped in to give me some extra money for while I am out of work. They are all so sweet. I almost broke down and failed my I-am-not-going-to-cry promise.

I am tired. I am at the Zilm's house temping for Kristin as Mrs. Zilm's daughter and John's older sister. They are so nice. They have been my second family for years. I love them. I am really really gonna miss them.

*sniff* I am not going to cry.

2 Days Left [Jun. 9th, 2004|10:03 am]
[mood | anxious]
[music |the buzzing of the computer loading information]

*Sigh*

Yes I think at this time in my life I am starting everything with a sigh.

Well I just got back from Ah-nuh's house and that was the last time I get to see her before I move. That is sad. I am sad. Last night it took us 4 hrs to write a letter to my friend Mike who is a counselor at a camp in WI. Actually I started writing a letter cause she was online. Then I got online and she said she was going to write a letter to Mike and then I wrote one more page of why I was sending Ah-nuh's letter with my letter. By the time it was all over it was like 4:17 in the morning. How do I know? I timestamp everything. It's pathetic.

So last night before we wrote the letter we were at my "g'bye party." It was at Than's house which is kind of across the street. Than, Jordan, Ah-nuh, Ambyre, Tim, and Zach were all there. It was the last time I get to all of them except Ambyre and Tim...and I guess Ah-nuh since I went over to her house afterward. It was fun we drank Dr. Pepper, ate at Taco Bell, and watched Scary Movie 3 and School of Rock. "The dogs are acting strange." Then I had to go swimming because I had been in 90 degree weather all day. That was good. We all swam with T-shirts on which made me happy because the skinny people thought they were too skinny and the not-so-skinny people thought they were...not-so-skinny.

Before that I was at work and it was my 2nd to last day, but some people I wouldn't see again, like Morgan and Bev. But I officially say goodbye today to them. Yesterday I worked in the kitchen, today I work in the serving area. It'll be good. Fred came up to me yesterday and said "You wanted me to write a letter of discouragement, right?" I smiled and said, "Yes I want you to write the strongest letter of discouragement you can...no...wait that's not right." He's a good kid. He's way older than me and runs the restaurant and his kid has a kid, but I still stand that he is a good kid.

Ugh we are all packed. We are getting the truck today. And the day after tomorrow we leave forever.

God bless you all. It's been fun. 1995-2004

4 Days Left [Jun. 7th, 2004|04:24 pm]
[mood | indescribable]
[music |the fans in the background and some girl talking to her mom]

Kind of speaks for itself doesn't it.

4 days left.

It is kind of depressing.
It is kind of exciting.

It is kind of...
...scary
...fun
...stressful
...hard to sleep at night
...exhausting
...rushing adrenaline through me
...troubling
...freeing
...making me feel trapped
...happy
...sad
...good
...bad
...I think you get the picture.

I am moving to 704 Sunset bulivard (I spelled that wrong didn't I).

I am moving into the very beautiful middle of no where.
At least Abby Jo will be there for a while. That'll be nice. And Lori, her mom is really nice. She kind of reminds me of Mrs. Ponivas, but...different...with a sense of space I think. I am gonna miss Mrs. Ponivas.

I am taking new classes at the community college there. Personal Finance, Theatre Acting, Ceramics, English Writing, and College Success Skills maybe a Literature course too. Not sure yet. Depends on the job I get.

Fred and Peg are writing me letters of recomendation from Josepines @ www.josephinestearoom.com go there the food is great the service is good and its reasonable for the amount of food you get and how rich it is. lol.

We are packing and packing and packing. It makes me sick.

My friend Than is planning a party for me for tomorrow. I hope I can go. My dad said he wouldn't let me drive the thirty minuets out there anymore. Due to the fact that we are leaving soon and "if your friends want to see you so bad then they can drive out here to see you." My excuse is going to be "Well it is kind of hard to have a goodbye party when it is at your house and you have no food, no chairs, no videos, no tables, no anything because it is all packed. Plus the fact it is being planned by your friend and he doesn't live at your house."
I hope it works.

*sigh*

I have to go. I have to pack (go figure) and call Anna(ah-nuh) and stuff.
